Suppose I have an object like this: http://puu.sh/aRYey/e08f579e39.png
If I use the "Select and transform object (F1)" tool, to morph it like this: http://puu.sh/aRYg3/9fb18a0083.png
Then, as you can see, its texture morphed with the scale. You can notice that each square in the checkered pattern changed size.
But if I morph it with the "Edit paths (F2)" tool, like this: http://puu.sh/aRYhb/37b125f8d2.png
You see that the tool is morphing the shape, but keeps the texture in place. It's only wrapping the texture around but not morphing it with the object's shape.
Is there anyway to make the texture morph with the object when I edit its shape like this? Only thing I can think of is exporting the object to a bitmap editing program like Gimp, and morph its shape there. That would do exactly what I want. But I like the path editing tools on Inkscape and would rather use that if possible. Is there a way to do this?
How to morph the texture with the Edit Path tool?

Hi.
Fill patterns are repeating, you cannot morph them.
The closest to the desired function, is to have the fill pattern as a path and not as an attribute, and use the envelope live path effect on it.
