I am trying to import an image from a PDF.
The PDF is 600x390 px.
But when I import it is turned into 600x390 pt

How do I set which units to interpret the PDF as having?

Welcome to the forum!

Do you mean those are the dimensions of the image?  You don't have to do anything to make sure it's imported at the right size.  But it sounds like you might need to fix some settings in Inkscape.

Can you open the PDF in Inkscape, save it as SVG and then share that SVG file with us?

Possibly we might need to see the original PDF, but I'm not sure yet.
