Hi & Hello everybody, My name is Bob and I've been using Inkscape for a few years to make patterns...wordart, I have realised there is a lot to Inkscape it's a great piece of software,
I find I only no so much about it and am srill learning new things all the time!
I'm a retired truck driver who is interested in woodworking, scrollsawing and gardening,
also watching Bike racing and Moto GP racing on T.V.,  I like to work with My hands a lot.
I like being able to create something in Inkscape and say yes that looks good!
Thanking you all, Bob  :wink1:

Hi Bob!

Yeah, Inkscape is being used a lot these days for woodworking and digital cutting.  I don't have any kind of cutter.  But like you, I'm retirement age.  I'm not really much of an artist, but I just like the creative process.  I just keep trying, and it's the trying which is rewarding for me, even though I may never "get there".

There's a segment of the crafters' world which enjoys coloring - just like in coloring books, like children do.  One of my current projects is to make designs for coloring.  Right now, all I have is "coloring pages", but eventually I want to make an Inkscape coloring book.  Maybe even a series, if I live long enough, haha!  I'm not good at freehand drawing, so mostly I just make geometric designs.

Anyway, you can see some of my work in our gallery (the IC Gallery tab).  Please feel free to show us some of your work, if you like.  You could just put it in a message, if you don't want to use the gallery.

Hello Brynn, Thank you for answering My post, I don't want you to think I am an artist...I couldn't draw to save My life! What I do is make patterns for people on a scroll saw forum for free which can be wordart or sillhouettes of animals and so on,
It's good to be retired so I don't have to work long hours anymore...like 75 hour week hauling potato's from Farms to the Chip Factory's, No more chasing the clock to the next drop!. I keep learning all the time new things on Inkscape...But can get stuck sometimes on things... then the Horns come out LOL,
See you later, Bob
