Maybe I'll just get the ball rolling by posting how I've been using Inkscape lately. I just use Inkscape as a hobby. I'm not really much of an artist, but I enjoy the creative process, and it's just fun for me.
I have this idea of producing coloring books, just like what you can buy for children in the grocery store (or other stores) which are usually line drawings of cartoon characters. But what I'm doing would be more for adults. And since I haven't figured out how to publish a book yet, they are just coloring pages, which I've uploaded to our gallery, and which people can download and print out, if they like. Here they are:

But hopefully I'll eventually find people who want to contribute, who can do that kind of drawing. Then I'll get serious about publishing a book, and learn how, and the profits can be put back into Inkscape.
Also, there's a subset of the geometric designs I've made, which are quilting patterns. I'm not a quilter, so I'm not sure how real quilters handle this. But if I were going to do it, I would want to practice which patterns I want to make, and what kind of color scheme. And it makes sense to me that it would be easier to print out pages and color them, than to actually buy fabric and cut it out, to decide what kind of finished result I want. Or on the other hand, these quilt patterns also are geometric designs which could be fun to color in different ways.
It's interesting as I research these old quilt patterns. Often I find myself thinking about pioneer woman, or other women even before American pioneers. I think how they must have passed their precious paper templates of their favorite patterns, down through generations, from mother to daugher and aunt to niece. How could they have ever imagined computers or computer software? Or even mechanical sewing machines, much less computer driven quilting machines that they have now!
