I've made a mini CNC and made my own g code in ink Scape. I've checked the drawing when I've made them and they are fine. But when I upload it to the cnc it only prints the bottom corner of the picture. I know it's something I'm doing wrong in inkscape though. Beacsue I've tried other g code made by other users and they work fine. Is there something I need to select or deselect? And help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advanced

Welcome to the forum!

Are you using the Gcodetools extensions, or another extension?  If another, which one?  Are you getting any error messages?  Are you able to share the SVG file with us?

Hi Brynn

One using the unicorn extension to save the g code. There are different tutorials some seem to use the oath to g code but some tutorial only use route to path and just save it as a g code. On the newer version inkscape I get one error when I try and save. But I read online it's beacsue I've got my document properties set to mm instead of px. When I set it to px it allows me to save it. I will try and post a SVG file.

Ok changing to document to px didn't work or inch. Just compared my g code to one that works and the one that works has this bit of code M01 (plotting layer 'calque 1) but mine doesn't say this ?

I can't help with the unicorn extension, other than to suggest double-checking that you installed the current version, and that it's installed correctly.

But I could walk you through the basics of using the Gcodetools extensions.  Also I could check your SVG file for possible problems.

Since you see the same problem with both, for me, that would point to something about the drawing which the extensions don't like.  Maybe something isn't converted to a path, but which the other programs you tried, accepted anyway?  But there are too many things to try and guess beyond that.  So looking at your file would be the best way.

Yes, it is different.
