having problem with RealScale extrnsion

I've Installed https://inkscape.org/en/~Moini/%E2%98%85realscale-resize-by-line-of-known-length - RealScale extension and got this message:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "realscale.py", line 31, in <module>
    inkex.localize()
AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'localize'

How can i fix it, if it possible?
i'm on ubuntu 14.04 and Inkscape 0.48

I can't help with that.  But that extension's author participates here, and I'm sure she'll be able to help.

Um.....but my first thought is that this extension was probably made with Inkscape version 0.49 or maybe 0.91.  I wonder if you using 0.48 might be part of the problem. 

Do you have some particular reason not to upgrade?  The current stable version is 0.91, and 0.92 should be coming out, I'm guessing within a month or 2.  (Yes, 0.50 through 0.90 were skipped  )  If there's no particular reason, you could try upgrading to 0.91 as an easy way to find out if that will fix it.

Just saw that message about my extension - please, when there's a bug in an extension, get back to its author, that's usually the quickest way to get an answer.

Brynn is right about the version being the problem here.

So, you've got two options:

- upgrade to 0.91, by using the ppa for Ubuntu:
https://launchpad.net/~inkscape.dev/+archive/ubuntu/stable

- use this .py file instead of the one you have:
https://github.com/Moini/inkscape-realscale-extension/blob/master/realscale.py.0.48
