A calendar of the year 2018.

Inkscape board meetings are marked red, inkscape vector teem meetings are marked with blue.

Board meetings are held via irc #inkscape-devel @freenode.
Vector meetings were held at mattermost & jitsi so far.

Haven't marked gsoc or hackfest, still it's a good base for keeping shedules.

I could enable the calendar feature for the forum, if it would be helpful.

I'll do some testing.  I'm thinking there's an outside chance it might contain a reminder feature.

Even without enabling the feature, if you click on a date in the Mini Calendar, and fill out the form, it posts a new topic.  But it posts it for the current date (of the posting), not the date you choose (like for a reminder).  So that still relies on the human to remember.

But I'll still enable the feature and see what I can find.

Aah, well for one thing, it adds another tab to the menu, which is not good for those whose menu already wraps around (small screens).

But I'll leave it activated for awhile, so people can test if they want.

Note that as far as posting events, you can have a topic for that event started in any board that you choose.  Whichever one is most appropriate.  And another possibility would be to create a special board for holding, for example, only meeting announcments.  Something like that.

Edit
If we decide to keep the big calendar, I'll probably get rid of the mini calendar.  Because it does not give any indication about posted events.

Oh, there IS a reminder!  Look at the Info Center, which is the block at the bottom of the index page, where you can see who's online, forum stats, etc., if you don't have it hidden.

It shows Upcoming Events.  And now I've made 2 tests, one of them is next week.  So it's only showing the events for this week.  So that's sort of a reminder.  Not quite as attention getting as I was hoping for, but it's something.
