I quite like this one. It looks like watercolor, which is kind of trendy at the moment.

People go through a lot of effort to make watercolor-blobs and scan them for textures.
This doesnt work very well in IS because of processor overload, but it seems filters can do stuff to "imitate" what Illustrator can (brushes).

"Zu früh gefreut", as we say in germany (feeling happy too early).

Watercolortexture takes ages (minutes) to render on my machine and when i make a bitmapcopy (Alt + B), Inkscape crashes.
So as vector, the texure is more or less unusable for me :(

Oh, I really like the blocky ones!  Some of those will be great for brick-like textures -- brick walls or brick pathways.

(I haven't had a chance to test these because using Inkscape with this piece-of-crap, built-in mouse on my laptop, is nearly impossible.  I might have to start getting pushy with tech support.  Well actually, I've already been pushy.  I might have to start getting ugly (the squeaky wheel approach).)  But I can't wait to download  :)

It means I've already asked them for phone support, or if not, please respond to emails in timely manner (not 2 days later).  To me, that's pushy.

I've already started getting ugly, although they don't know it.  I'm shopping for a different kind of mouse.  I've been loyally using their mouse, and I wear them out every couple of years, and buy another.  But if they can't support their paid-for product, I'm done with it.  The problem is that I can't find another touchpad mouse with all the same features.  I found one that I might buy, but it works a little differently.  Still might try it anyway.

But getting ugly where they know about it probably means I'll call them and not take no for an answer.  And that would an ugly situation.  (I once made a telemarketer hang up on me, lol!)  I have a lot of patience, and I'm as friendly as the day is long.  But after a certain point, they lose me as a customer.

Oh, you were talking about your laptop. I thought it was about rendering time for filters, lol.
We dont have this kind of product "policy" in germany, so its a kind of exotic concept for me.

Hah!  Oh gosh no.  I'm usually very straight forward when I write.  Unless I'm very tired, I don't think or write tangentially.

Well it's not so much of a policy.  In reality, I'm sure the hardware part of the mouse has lived past its warranty.  They are probably only interested if my problems would reveal something about the driver that they were not previously aware of.  And it seems to be the driver that's having a problem.

Wasn't too happy with the previous one's colouring.
Multiply, colormatrix and component transfer, yet it still lack that small bit.

So tweaked those out to have the pattern black to transparent fade. This way with the upcoming new blending modes (?) it may be easier to remix.

Nice!  I'll bet a lot of game makers will like those -- especially those shoot-em-up games.

Thank's!

Speaking of shoot-em-ups, here is a fishtank:

-Tweaked the filter's settings, so it catches the object's shades and not just showing a plain fill.

Trying out the plaid filter on a bag.
(Which comes from an uploaded spam at ocal autotraced.)

The component transfer sliders can control the "tone curves".

The eggs look really great ! The filter is perfect for the job.

Also nice to see Dillerkind finally drawing a girl that is over 18.

I'm not sure exactly how the last one is made, but it looks like it might make a nice fire filter, if applied to the right shape of paths!  Or maybe it's just the color that gives me that idea.

Oh no, that's not Dillerkind's style at all!
